I believe that photography has a magical way of celebrating the past while capturing moments of quiet and playful tenderness. I aim create images that feel genuine, light, and memorable.
The session will be a fun positive experience; it should never be stressful or performative. I will guide you to create photographs that are authentic and creative. I will collaborate with you to create original images. We will pick a location that suits the vision you have for your photos (natural, homey, urban, contemporary…) and is convenient for you. You will receive excellent customer service. I am easy to contact and will respond promptly. And in the end you will receive fully retouched photographs that you will love! I grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I received my BA from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York City in 2010. I earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate at Maryland Institute College of Art in Studio Art in Baltimore, MD in 2011. I went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. I have been teaching visual art to undergraduates for the last 10+ years. I am currently a professor at the University of North Georgia. I am passionate about the arts and students. I am a mom to 3 young boys (7, 5, and 1) and live in Atlanta, GA. I love working with children, family, and couples to create photography that you will treasure for years to come. |
“to take a photograph is to participate in another person's mortality, vulnerability, mutability. precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time's relentless melt.”
